Tafsir Al-Jalalayn: Aal-i-Imraan, Ayah 109
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And to Allah will [all] matters be returned.

Scholars offer complementary perspectives
(Unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth) of created beings and marvellous things; (and unto Allah all things are returned) in the Hereafter.

Narrated by Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying that a servant transgressed the litnit in committing sins. The rest of the hadith is the same but there is no mention of the story of the cat in it and in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Ziibaidl (the words are):

To God belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth as possessions creatures and servants and to Him all matters are returned.
