إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].

Al-Jalalayn Commentary

— all except God’s devoted servants namely believers the exceptive clause here is discontinuous in other words that is because they declare that God transcends what such individuals attribute to Him.

Scholars offer diverse perspectives

(Save single minded slaves of Allah) save the slaves of Allah who are sincere in their profession of Allah's divine Oneness and in their worship: these slaves do not invent lies about Allah; it is also said that this verse should be understood as follows: those who claim that there is a kinship between Allah and the angels will be tormented and none of them will escape this torment except the sincere slaves of Allah who are protected from disbelief, idolatry and indecencies.

The above hadith is narratted through other chains except they did not mention 'Azza like the chain of Yazid Bin Abi Habib.

Sunan Abu Dawud#445Sahih

Yazid b. Salih (instead of Yazid b. Sulaih).

Narrated by Dhu Mikhbar al-Habashi, who used to serve the Prophet (ﷺ), reported a version of the previous tradition. The Prophet (ﷺ) performed ablution in such a way that there is no mud on the earth. He then commanded Bilal (to call for prayer). He called for prayer. The Prophet (ﷺ) stood and offered two rak'ahs of prayer unhurriedly. This is narrated by Hajjaj on the authority of Yazid b. Sulaih from Dhu Mikhbar from a person of al-Habashah (Ethiopia).
