Tafsir Al-Jalalayn: Al-Ahqaf, Ayah 22
قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
They said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful."

(They said: Hast thou come) O Hud (to turn us away from our gods) to turn us away from the worship of our gods? (Then bring upon us that) torment (wherewith thou threatenest us, if thou art of the Truthful) that torment will befall us if we reject faith.
