ثُمَّ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًۭا
Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly

(And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them) I called them openly to the message and explained to them, (and I have appealed to them in private) and I called them secretly to the message.

Narrated by This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas through another chain of transmitters and with slight alteration of two words. Instead of the word Qayyam (Supporter, as used in the above hadith here the word) Qayyim (the Custodian) has been used, and he (further said):
