This hadith has been transmitted by Al-A`mash with a slight variation of words, i.e. he said before its time when it was still dark.
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) placed a man in his grave at night, and he lit a lamp in his grave.
I was shooting some of my arrows during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that the sun eclipsed. The rest of the hadith is the same.
He wiped his ears inside and outside. Hisham adds: He inserted his fingers in the ear-holes.

and darkened its night and brought forth its day He exposed the light of its sun ‘night’ has been annexed to it the heaven because it represents its shade and likewise the ‘sun’ because it represents its light;
