وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,

Sunan an-Nasa'i#2054Sahih
"when a person is placed in his grave and his companions depart from him, he hears the sound of their sandals."
Narrated by It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet said:

Narrated by The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Humaid b. Hilal with a different chain of transmitters and to the same effect. This version adds:

When the dead body. is placed in the grave, he listens to the sound of the shoes (as his friends and relatives return after burying him).
