Al-Anbiyaa · Ayah 83 · View Ayah
۞ وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful."

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(And Job) and mention Job, (when he cried unto his Lord) when he prayed to his Lord, ((saying): Lo! adversity afflicteth me) suffering has visited my body, so have mercy on me and deliver me, (and Thou art Most Merciful of all who show mercy).
