Tafsir Ibn Abbas: Al-Qasas, Ayah 18

فَأَصْبَحَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ خَآئِفًۭا يَتَرَقَّبُ فَإِذَا ٱلَّذِى ٱسْتَنصَرَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُهُۥ ۚ قَالَ لَهُۥ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّكَ لَغَوِىٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
And he became inside the city fearful and anticipating [exposure], when suddenly the one who sought his help the previous day cried out to him [once again]. Moses said to him, "Indeed, you are an evident, [persistent] deviator."

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(And morning found him in the city, fearing) because of killing the Copt, (vigilant) anticipating arrest, (when behold! he who had appealed to him the day before) to help against the Copt (cried out to him for help) against another Copt. (Moses said unto him) to the Israelite: (Lo! thou art indeed a mere hothead) you are a quarrelsome person, and proceeded to help him.

In the morning he was in the city fearful vigilant waiting to see what would happen to him in reaction from the side of the slain man; — when behold the one who had sought his help the day before cried out to him for help again asking for his help against another Egyptian.
