Tafsir Ibn Abbas: An-Najm, Ayah 45

وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ

And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(And that He createth the two spouses) a pair, (the male and the female,

Scholars offer complementary perspectives

and that He Himself creates the two spouses the two kinds the male and the female

“And for this did He create them.” He said: He created these for this and those for that.
