فَجَعَلْنَٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا

And made them virgins,

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(And made them virgins

Scholars offer complementary perspectives

and made them virgins immaculate — every time their spouses enter them they find them virgins nor is there any pain of defloration —

They uncovered my private parts, and when they found that the hair had not begun to grow they put me among the captives.
