then repose that is there will be for him relief and a goodly provision and a garden of Bliss does this response belong to the ammā ‘thus’ or to in ‘if’ or to both? Different opinions are given regarding this.

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) read: "(There is for him) Rest and satisfaction" (faruhun wa rayhan).
Verily, when a Muslim visits his brother in Islam he is supposed to remain in the fruit garden of Paradise until he returns.
He who visits the sick is supposed to remain in the fruit garden of Paradise. It was said: Allah's Messenger, what is this Khurfat-ul-jannah? He said: It is a place abounding in fruits.
He who visits the sick continues to remain in the fruit garden of Paradise until he returns.
Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) was reclining against a tree in the garden. The rest of the hadith is the same with a slight variation of wording.
Ibn Abbas Commentary
(Then breath of life) then rest for them in the grave; and it is also said that this means: then there is mercy for them, (and plenty) when they come out of the grave; and it is also said this means: and provision, (and a Garden of Delight) on the Day of Judgement whose delight is perpetual.
