وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ

And when the seas are erupted

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(When the seas are poured forth) into each other, the sweet into the salty, such that they become one sea,

Scholars offer diverse perspectives

and when the seas are burst forth released one upon the other forming one mass of water so that the sweet water mixes with the salty;
