سُورَةُ التِّينِ
At-Tin (The Fig)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
8 ayahs
وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ
By the fig and the olive
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
And [by] Mount Sinai
وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ
And [by] this secure city [Makkah],
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ
We have certainly created man in the best of stature;
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ
Then We return him to the lowest of the low,
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ
So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?
أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ
Is not Allah the most just of judges?

By the fig and the olive that is the two edible foods — or these denote the names of two mountains in Syria on which these two foods grow —

Narrated by Al-Bara' b. 'Azib reported that he said prayer with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he recited:
Sunan Ibn Majah#568Sahih

“I heard him reciting ‘By the fig, and the olive’.”

Narrated by It was narrated from Bara’ bin ‘Azib that he performed the ‘Isha’, the later, with the Prophet (ﷺ). He said:
Jami` at-Tirmidhi#310Sahih

"The Prophet would recite: By the fig and the olive for Isha."

Narrated by Al-Bara bin Azib narrated:
Sunan Ibn Majah#2046Hasan

“Allah is with the judge so long as he is not unjust, but if he rules unjustly, He entrusts him to himself.”

Narrated by It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Jami` at-Tirmidhi#1343Da'if

" Allah is with the judge as long as he is not unjust. So when he is unjust, He leaves him and he is attended by Shaitan."

Narrated by Ibn Abi Al-Awfa narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was on a journey and he recited: 'By the fig and the olive' in the first rak'ah of isha'. "
