The Book of Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ اَلْخُدْرِيِّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا يَقْطَعُ اَلصَّلَاةَ شَيْءٌ , وَادْرَأْ مَا اِسْتَطَعْتَ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ , وَفِي سَنَدِهِ ضَعْفٌ . 11 - ضعيف . رواه أبو داود (719) وتمامه عنده : "فإنما هو شيطان" . وعلته في أحد رواته ، وهو مجالد بن سعيد فإنه ضعيف ، ثم هو قد اضطرب في الحديث ، فمرة رفعه ومرة أوقفه. وكذا وقع في الأصلين : "وادرأ ما استطعت " وهو في "السنن" بلفظ الجمع.
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Nothing interrupts Salat (prayer), but avert as much as you can (things that cut off prayer)."
