The Book of Prayer
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَلِأَبِي دَاوُدَ: عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ, نَحْوُهُ 1 .1 - صحيح بما قبله وبما له من شواهد. رواه أبو داود (1156) ولفظه: عن ابن عمر؛ أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أخذ يوم العيد في طريق، ثم رجع في طريق آخر.
Abu Dawud has a similar report from Ibn 'Umar (RA).
