حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَلْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلِيٌّ ‏.‏ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَلْجٍ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ ‏.‏ وَأَبُو بَلْجٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ‏.‏ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي هَذَا فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ عَلِيٌّ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَسْلَمَ عَلِيٌّ وَهُوَ غُلاَمٌ ابْنُ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ خَدِيجَةُ ‏.‏
