Mishkat al-Masabih #302
Purification
The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.
وَعَن أم سَلمَة أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: قَرَّبْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَنْبًا مَشْوِيًّا فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ
Umm Salama said, “I offered the Prophet a roasted flank and he ate some of it, then rose to pray without performing ablution.”
Ahmad transmitted it.
