Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra)

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَقَالَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْهَانَا عَنْهَا.
It was narrated from Rabee'ah bin Darraj, that 'Ali رضي الله عنه prayed two rakʼahs after ‘Asr, and ‘Umar got angry with him and said: Don't you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid this?
