Sahih Muslim #5766

The Book of Dreams
Sahih

The Arabic includes the chain of narration (sanad) and the collector's commentary; the English translation shows the Prophet's words only.

This hadith has been reported on the authority of `Ubaidullah with the same chain of transmitters.

Context

This hadith, similar to the previous one, emphasizes the importance of the chain of narrators in the transmission of hadith. It reinforces the idea that multiple sources can report the same message, which adds to the credibility and authenticity of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).

Modern Application

In contemporary society, the practice of verifying sources and ensuring accurate information is crucial. Just as hadith scholars cross-reference narrations, individuals today can benefit from checking multiple sources before forming opinions or sharing information.

Topics

This hadith is tagged with Hadith Transmission and Authenticity in Hadith because it underscores the necessity of reliable narrators in the reporting of hadith.
