The Book of Tribulations and Portents of the Last Hour

حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ يُوشِكُ الْفُرَاتُ أَنْ يَحْسِرَ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَمَنْ حَضَرَهُ فَلاَ يَأْخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏
The Euphrates would soon uncover a mountain of gold but he who is present there should not take anything from that.
Narrated by Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

Context

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) foretold of a time when the Euphrates River would reveal a mountain of gold. However, he cautioned that those present should not take anything from it. This hadith serves as a warning against greed and the trials that wealth can bring, especially in times of great temptation.

And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers in order that [they might aid] you [to] consume a portion of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know [it is unlawful].
