Sunan Abu Dawud #2595

Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)
Da'if

حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ الْفَزَارِيِّ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ ابْغُونِي الضُّعَفَاءَ فَإِنَّمَا تُرْزَقُونَ وَتُنْصَرُونَ بِضُعَفَائِكُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ أَخُو عَدِيِّ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ ‏.‏
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Seek for me weak persons, for you are provided means of subsistence and helped through your weaklings. Abu Dawud said: Zaid b. Artat is the brother of 'Adi b. Artat.

They said, "O 'Azeez, indeed he has a father [who is] an old man, so take one of us in place of him. Indeed, we see you as a doer of good."

[Allah] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both supremacy so they will not reach you. [It will be] through Our signs; you and those who follow you will be the predominant."
