This hadith from Sunan Abu Dawud (Book of The Office of the Judge (Kitab Al-Aqdiyah)), narrated by The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by 'Uqbah bin al-Harith to the same effect through a different chain of narrators. Abu Dawud said:, states: "Hammad bin Zaid looked at al-Harith bin 'Umair and said: He is from reliable narrators from Ayyub."

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، - وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ، عُقْبَةَ وَلَكِنِّي لِحَدِيثِ عُبَيْدٍ أَحْفَظُ - فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ نَظَرَ حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ إِلَى الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا مِنْ ثِقَاتِ أَصْحَابِ أَيُّوبَ ‏.‏

Hammad bin Zaid looked at al-Harith bin 'Umair and said: He is from reliable narrators from Ayyub.

They said, "O 'Azeez, indeed he has a father [who is] an old man, so take one of us in place of him. Indeed, we see you as a doer of good."

وَقَالَ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱئْتُونِى بِهِۦٓ أَسْتَخْلِصْهُ لِنَفْسِى ۖ فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهُۥ قَالَ إِنَّكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ لَدَيْنَا مَكِينٌ أَمِينٌۭ

And the king said, "Bring him to me; I will appoint him exclusively for myself." And when he spoke to him, he said, "Indeed, you are today established [in position] and trusted."

سُورَةُ الأَعۡرَافِ

Al-A'raaf (The Heights)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَقَاسَمَهُمَآ إِنِّى لَكُمَا لَمِنَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ

And he swore [by Allah] to them, "Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisors."

Al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets)

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham."

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قَالَتْ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱسْتَـْٔجِرْهُ ۖ إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَنِ ٱسْتَـْٔجَرْتَ ٱلْقَوِىُّ ٱلْأَمِينُ

One of the women said, "O my father, hire him. Indeed, the best one you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy."
