أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَكَانَ جَعَلَ فَصَّهُ فِي بَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَطَرَحَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ وَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَكَانَ يَخْتِمُ بِهِ وَلاَ يَلْبَسُهُ ‏.‏
