Hasan

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ مَاتَ رَجُلٌ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَعُودُهُ. فَدَفَنُوهُ بِاللَّيْلِ. فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ أَعْلَمُوهُ. فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا مَنَعَكُمْ أَنْ تُعْلِمُونِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالُوا كَانَ اللَّيْلُ وَكَانَتِ الظُّلْمَةُ فَكَرِهْنَا أَنْ نَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ ‏.‏ فَأَتَى قَبْرَهُ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ‏.‏
“A man died whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to visit, and they buried him at night. When morning came, they told him. He said: ‘What kept you from telling me?’ They said: ‘It was night and it was dark, and we did not like to cause you any inconvenience.’ Then he went to the grave and offered the funeral prayer for him.”

Ibn ‘Abbas narrates an incident where the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was informed about a man who had died and was buried at night. The Prophet expressed his desire to have been informed sooner, indicating the importance of notifying loved ones about significant events. And do not pray [the funeral prayer, O Muhammad], over any of them who has died - ever - or stand at his grave. Indeed, they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًۭا فَأَحْيَيْنَٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ نُورًۭا يَمْشِى بِهِۦ فِى ٱلنَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُۥ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍۢ مِّنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing.
6:122Explore
فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًۭا ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْءَافِلِينَ
So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that disappear."

سُورَةُ عَبَسَ
Abasa (He frowned)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقْبَرَهُۥ
Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.
