And lower to them the wing of humility show them your submissive side out of mercy that is on account of your affection for them and say ‘My Lord have mercy on them just as they had mercy on me when they reared me when I was little’.

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to put me on (one of) his thighs and put Al-Hasan bin `Ali on his other thigh, and then embrace us and say, "O Allah! Please be Merciful to them, as I am merciful to them. "

Jami` at-Tirmidhi #3677Abu Dharr narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) visited him, or that Abu Dharr visited the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and said:Sahih

“May my father and my mother be ransomed for you, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Which speech is most beloved to Allah ?” So he said: “That which Allah selected for His angels (to say): ‘Glory to my Lord, and with His praise.
