God desires to make clear to you the laws of your religion and what is in your best interests and to guide you in the ways the paths of those prophets before you in the way of what is lawful and what is unlawful so that you might follow them and to turn in forgiveness towards you bringing you back from the disobedience which you practised to obedience to Him; God is Knowing of you Wise in what He has ordained for you.

Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household, and purify you (thorough purifying)

Sunan an-Nasa'i #4463An-Nu'man bin Bashir said:Sahih

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "That which is lawful is plain and that which is unlawful is plain, and between them are matters which are not as clear. I will strike a parable for you about that: indeed Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has established a sanctuary, and the sanctuary of Allah is that which He has forbidden. Whoever approaches the sanctuary is bound to transgress upon it, Or he said: 'Whoever grazes around the sanctuary will soon transgress upon it, and whoever indulges in matters that are not clear, he will soon transgress beyond the limits,""

Sunan Abu Dawud #3330Narrated Al-Nu'man b. Bashir:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: What is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear, but between them are certain doubtful things. I give you an example for this. Allah has a preserve, and Allah's preserve is the things He has declared unlawful. He who pastures (his animals) round the preserve will soon fall into it. He who falls into doubtful things will soon be courageous.

Sunan an-Nasa'i #5720It was narrated that An-Nu'man bin Bashir said:Da'if

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear, but between them there are matters which are doubtful.'" And sometimes he said: "But between them are matters that are not as clear. I will describe the likeness of that for you. Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has a sanctuary and the sanctuary of Allah is that which He has forbidden. Whoever grazes around the sanctuary will soon transgress into the sanctuary. And whoever approaches a matter that is unclear, he will soon wind up in the sanctuary." And sometimes he said: "He will soon transgress, and indeed whoever mixes in doubt, he will soon cross into it."
