سُورَةُ يسٓ
Yaseen (Yaseen)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
7 ayahs
يسٓ
Ya, Seen.
وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
By the wise Qur'an.
إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,
عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
On a straight path.
تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًۭا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ
That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.

‘There will be in the last of my nation a people narrating to you what you nor your fathers heard, so beware of them’.

Narrated by Muhammad bin Abd Allah bin Numayr and Zuhayr bin Harb narrated to me, they said Abd Allah bin Yazīd narrated to us, he said Sa’īd bin Abī Ayyūb narrated to me, he said Abū Hāni’ narrated to me, on authority of Uthmān Muslim bin Yasār, on authority of Abī Hurayrah, on authority of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, he said:

"I only learned :Qaf. By the Glorious Quran.' Behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ); he used to recite it in Subh.

Narrated by It was narrated that Umm Hisham bint Harithah bin An-Nu'man said:

He used to recite in them:" Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an" (Surah 1)," The Hour drew near, and the moon was rent asunder" (Surah liv.).

Narrated by 'Abdullah b. 'Umar reported that (his father) 'Umar b. Khattab asked Abu Waqid al-Laithi what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite on 'Id-ul-Adha and 'Id-ul-Fitr. He said:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Commit yourself to the Qur'an, for by Him in whose Hand is my soul, it is surely more prone to break away than a camel in its bind.
