The People of the City arrive upon the Angels, thinking that they are Men

سُورَةُ الحِجۡرِ
Al-Hijr (The Rock)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
6 ayahs
وَجَآءَ أَهْلُ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
And the people of the city came rejoicing.
قَالَ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيْفِى فَلَا تَفْضَحُونِ
[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ
And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."
قَالُوٓا۟ أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?"
قَالَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِىٓ إِن كُنتُمْ فَٰعِلِينَ
[Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]."
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِى سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly.
