(These) who have such traits (race for the good things) hasten to perform righteous works, (and they shall win them in the race.

"The people will remain upon goodness so long as they hasten to break the fast. Hasten to break the fast, for the Jews delay it."
Hasten at a funeral, for if (the dead person) is good, you would (soon) bring him close to the good. And if it is otherwise, it is an evil of which you are ridding yourselves.

Make haste at a funeral; if the dead person was good, it is a good state to which you are sending him on; but if he was otherwise it is an evil of which you are ridding yourselves.
The people will continue to prosper as long as they hasten the breaking of the fast.

those are the ones who hasten to perform good works and they are the ones who shall come out ahead in them according to God’s knowledge.
