أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَن جَآءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ لِيُنذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُوا۟ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you and that you may fear Allah so you might receive mercy."

Al-Jalalayn Commentary

Do you then deny marvel that a reminder an admonition from your Lord should come to you through the tongue of a man from among you that he may warn you of chastisement if you do not believe and that you may fear God and that you might be shown mercy’ by it?

(Marvel ye) indeed, you marvel (that there should come unto you a Reminder) prophethood (from your Lord by means of a man among you) a human being like you, (that he may warn you, and that you may keep from evil) and that you obey Allah and ward off worship of other than Him, (and that haply ye may find mercy) and not be tormented.
