فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ

But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -

So when the Greatest Catastrophe befalls — the second blast —

Scholars offer complementary perspectives

(But when the great disaster cometh) but when the Hour comes, it will tower above everything and nothing will escape it,

When (the danger of) blight is no more.
