Tafsir Ibn Abbas: Ash-Shu'araa, Ayah 86

وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray.

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(And forgive my father) and guide my father through me. (Lo! he is of those who err) he is in error, a disbeliever.
