وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ

And leave the Hereafter.

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(And neglect the Hereafter) and neglect working for the reward of the Hereafter.

Scholars offer complementary perspectives

and forsake the Hereafter thus neglecting to work towards attaining bliss in it.

O God, there is no life, but the life of the Hereafter, So forgive Thou the Ansar and the Muhajirs.
