So We delivered him and his family except his wife — We decreed for her We made her by Our decree to be of those who remained behind in the chastisement.

“I was among the weak ones of his family (i.e., the women and children) whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent on ahead.”

Sahih al-Bukhari #4391Narrated Ibn `Abbas:Sahih
