It was narrated from ‘Irbad bin Sariyah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to ask for forgiveness for the first row three times and for the second row twice.
"Hafsah told me that when dawn glowed, the Prophet (ﷺ) would pray two rak'ahs.
The prayer of the penitent should be observed when the young weaned camels feel heat of the sun.

(And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness) and at dawn they would pray,
