Tafsir Ibn Abbas: At-Tur, Ayah 44

At-Tur · Ayah 44 · View Ayah
وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًۭا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌۭ مَّرْكُومٌۭ
And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up."

Ibn Abbas Commentary

(And if they) the disbelievers of Mecca (were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds) because of their denial.
