And of the fruits of date-palms and vines comes forth a fruit from which you draw an intoxicant a wine that intoxicates — it the wine is referred to by the verbal noun sakaran ‘intoxicant’ and this verse came before it was prohibited — and goodly provision such as dates raisins vinegar and molasses. Surely in that which is mentioned there is a sign indicating His power exalted be He for a people who understand a people who reflect.

Wine is prepared from the (fruit) of these two trees-date-palm and vine.

Sunan Ibn Majah #3114It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:Sahih

“Wine comes from these two trees: The date palm and the grapevine.”

Sunan an-Nasa'i #5583It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:Sahih

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Khamr comes from these two trees: The date palm and the grapevine.'"

Sunan an-Nasa'i #5582Abu Hurairah said:Sahih

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Khamr comes from these two.'" Suwaid (one of the narrators) said: "From these two trees: The date palm and the grapevine."

Sahih Muslim #5007Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Sahih

Wine comes from vine and date-palms. Abu Kuraib has narrated it with a slight variation of words.
