Haaa antum ulaaa'i tuhibboonahum wa laa yuhibboonakum wa tu'minoona bil kitaabi kullihee wa izaa laqookum qaalooo aamannaa wa izaa khalaw 'addoo 'alaikumul anaamila minal ghaiz; qul mootoo bighai zikum; innal laaha 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor

Lo hā ‘lo!’ is for calling attention to something there you are O believers you love them on account of their kinship and their pretence of friendship towards you but they love you not since they oppose you in religion; you believe in the Book all of it that is to say in the Books all of them but they do not believe in your Book and when they meet you they say ‘We believe’ but when they are alone they bite at you their fingertips in rage in extreme fury at what they see of your mutual affection the biting of the fingertips is used to figuratively express the severity of rage even if there be no biting involved. Say ‘Perish in your rage that is be this way until the end of your lives for you shall not see what will please you; God knows what is in the breasts’ what is in the hearts including that which these conceal.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Soon there will appear disagreement and dissension in my people; there will be people who will be good in speech and bad in work. They recite the Qur'an, but it does not pass their collar-bones. They will swerve from the religion as an animal goes through the animal shot at. They will not return to it till the arrow comes back to its notch. They are worst of the people and animals. Happy is the one who kills them and they kill him. They call to the book of Allah, but they have nothing to do with it. He who fights against them will be nearer to Allah than them (the rest of the people). The people asked: What is their sign? He replied: They shave the head.

"None but the believer loves them, none but the hypocrite hates them. He who loves them loves Allah and he who hates them hates Allah." I (the narrator) said: Did you hear this hadith from al-Bara'? He said: He narrated it to me.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi #2580Az-Zubair bin Al-'Awwam narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said:Da'if

"The disease of the nations before you is creeping towards you: Envy and hatred, it is the Haliqah. I do not speak of what cuts the hair, but what severs the religion. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love each other. Shall I tell you about what will strengthen that for you? Spread the Salam among each other."

"When 'Ali was in Yemen, he sent some gold that was still enclosed in rock to the Prophet ) said: 'Among the offspring of this man there will be people who will recite the Qur'an but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will go out of Islam as an arrow goes through the target. They will kill the Muslims and leave the idol-worshippers alone. If I live to see them, I will kill them as the killing of 'Ad.'"
