We said ‘O fire! Be coolness and safety for Abraham!’ and so it only consumed the bonds with which he had been tied. Its heat departed but its luminosity remained. And by His words wa-salāman ‘and safety’ Abraham was safe from salima death because of its coolness.

The last statement of Abraham when he was thrown into the fire was:--"Allah is Sufficient for us and He is the Best Disposer (of affairs for us)." (3.173)

Sunan Ibn Majah #4056It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:Da'if

“This fire of yours is one-seventieth part of the fire of Hell. Were it not that its heat has been reduced by water twice, you would not have been able to benefit from it. And it is praying to Allah, asking Allah not to return it (to its original level of heat).”

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered that the salamander should be killed and said, "It (i.e. the salamander) blew (the fire) on Abraham."
