Wa 'alal lazeena haadoo harramnaa kulla zee zufurinw wa minal baqari walghanami harramnaa 'alihim shuh oomahumaaa illaa maa hamalat zuhooruhumaaa awil hawaayaaa aw makhtalata bi'azm zaalika jazainaahum bibaghyihim wa innaa lasaa diqoon

And to those of Jewry that is the Jews We forbade every beast with hoof that is every animal which does not have divided toes such as camels and ostriches; and of oxen and sheep We forbade them the fat of them the thin fat lining the stomach and the fat of the kidneys save what their backs carry that is what fat is attached to it or what is carried by their entrails their intestines hawāyā is the plural of hāwiyā’ or hāwiya or what is mingled with bone thereof which is the fat of the rump these were lawful for them; that prohibition We requited them with for their insolence on account of their wrongdoing as already mentioned in sūrat al-Nisā’ Q. 4160; verily We are truthful in recounting Our tidings and Our appointed times.

May Allah destroy the Jews for Allah forbade the use of fats for them, but they sold them and made use of their price.

We were forbidden (to eat) the flesh of the domestic asses.

Verily Allah and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of wine, carcass, swine and idols, It was said: Allah's Messenger, you see that the fat of the carcass is used for coating the boats and varnishing the hides and people use it for lighting purposes, whereupon he said: No, it is forbidden, Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: May Allah the Exalted and Majestic destroy the Jews; when Allah forbade the use of fat of the carcass for them, they melted it, and then sold it and made use of its price (received from it).

Jami` at-Tirmidhi #1307Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah :Sahih

That during the Year of the Conquest, while he was in Makkah, he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: "Indeed Allah and His Messenger unlawful the sale of wine, dead carcasses, the pig, and idols." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! What about the fat of carcasses? For indeed it is used to coat the ships, skins are oiled with it, and people use it for lamps?" He said: "No. It is unlawful." Then, with that, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "May Allah fight (curse) the Jews! Indeed Allah made the fat unlawful for them, they melted it, sold it, and consumed its price." There are narrations of this topic from 'Umar and Ibn 'Abbas. The Hadith of Jabir is Hasan Sahih Hadith. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "May Allah curse the Jews! When Allah forbade them to eat the fat of animals, they melted it and sold it, and utilized its price! "
