حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ فِي زَمَانِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏
The moon was cleft asunder during the lifetime of the Prophet.

وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا ٱتَّسَقَ
And [by] the moon when it becomes full
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ
When the sky has split [open]
سُورَةُ الشَّمۡسِ
Ash-Shams (The Sun)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
