O you who believe do not exact usury twofold and severalfold read mudā‘afatan or mud‘afatan by increasing the amount to be repaid when the loan period comes to an end and delaying the request of the loan. And fear God by abandoning such usury so that you may prosper that you may triumph.

"There is no one who deals in usury a great deal (to increase his wealth) but he will end up with little (i.e., his wealth will be decreased)."

Sunan Ibn Majah #2011It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud that :Hasan

Xthe Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who pays it, those who witness it and the one who writes it down.

When you sell wheat for wheat and barley for barley, it should be measure for measure, but there is nothing wrong with selling barley for wheat, hand to hand, giving more barley than wheat, but no credit is allowed. And when you sell dates for dates, it should be measure for measure" And he mentioned salt, "measure for measure, and whoever gives more or asks for more has engaged in Riba.
